The following list is not provided in order of importance or impact as for each person, depending on the time of their life, the importance and the impact may be important:

1 Credit Cards with Bonus points which can be used to pay for groceries. Very often persons select the credit card which provides flyer miles as it is the one which is most popular.

However over the years, being able to reduce my outflow of cash by using the reward points meant that debt on the credit card did not accumulate as fast as it could.

2 Other Rewards which could be offset against the purchase of groceries. These points while they can be infrequent can assist in reducing the outflow of cash and in paying for specific items, most usually groceries.

3 Paid Leave - Very often we underestimate the impact of being paid for a public holiday when it falls on our workday or for vacation, as more often than not we see the flexibility to work at home and reduce those costs as being important to our lives. They are, those benefits, that is.

However if you can work multiple positions where you can access those benefits then take accept them as over time, the money adds up.

4 National Insurance Contributions and Pension Plans - While both National Insurance Contributions and Pension Plans are benefits and to receive them you have to access them at a certain age, the benefits are tied to:

The interest or income which is earned on the Plan,

The pooling of funds of a large number of persons to manage costs and risks

So next time you are leaving a position with those benefits, consider freezing them, so that they can be accessed later in your life.

5 Saving when the Interest Compounds frequently and at times which differ to the earnings on our regular savings

Yes, a savings account which pays interest regularly can add to our lifestyle, however unless we monitor the extra income and treat it as "untouchable" there is little to no compounding of interest like that which occurs in a Money Market Fund where the interest is paid at the "other" intervals.

6 "Free Points" - One of our groceries linked up with an international company which allows certain products to be recycled and awards points which are added to the grocery's Reward card.

Unless you are a consumer of bottled products or intend to go on clean up campaigns, the cost of accessing "stuff" to recycle can make a dent in your pocket.

However it is possible to change your exercise routine and earn some income which may be used to reduce your grocery bill in time.

If you had zero dollars coming in or the value of your points represented your independence money, then being lucky enough to earn those points may be one of the better things which could happen to you in awhile.

8 Art Galleries - Every so often one of the local art galleries hosts the works of an artist for a period of a few weeks. During the day, it is possible to drop in and have a look at the work of a variety of artists. The viewing of the art is a mental recharger. Some of the art galleries are located near to fast food outlets where you can eat local cuisine or access specials on pizza or the cost of the visit is the cost of transportation

9 Church events - Novenas, early morning or midday mass, adoration These all offer space, quiet time and a way to give your presence. The cost of transportation is the only charge. Some persons walk with food to recharge themselves before they go out into the world.

Let me the things which impact upon your lives in the comments field.
